![]() ![]() This is useful for that spot, but you probably need to rename the marker buoy with the depth to remind you when you fish that spot again - I use a simplified naming system for the buoys eg 3.2 to indicate 3.2m deep Next cast out to the buoy and as the sinker hits the water the indicator on the right hand side of the screen will usually (but not always) show the depth that the sinker comes to rest at as it hits the bottom. I tend to pick roughly where I want to try in the lake eg a deep hole or deeper part of the river, mark the spot with a marker buoy and then use a bottom rod with a sinker. ![]() You may get a boat perhaps a bit later in the game and if it is fitted with a good sounder these do show some more depth info but it is still quite difficult to relate it to a mark to fish - it is not as good as a modern sounder and chart plotter. I guess what I am saying is that there are no detailed depth contours in the game (or weren't last time I played). I should say I have not played for a while but I doubt it has changed that much. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any actual depth contours on the waterway maps other than the darker colour on the map of the lakes to indicate deeper areas or deep holes, however, they do show up a bit more if you zoom in on the map. ![]() I play fishing planet on PS4 but I expect the game is very similar on a tablet. ![]()
